Having Joe Oliphant, Traci Blazosky and Robin Martin as bloggers streamlines our work for the PA DEN blog. We strive to promote all things Discovery, from webinars, EdTechConnect, special events and promotions, new products and partnerships, virtual and in-person events, and state and national conferences. From Tech Tuesday webinars to weekly updates, the team works to keep PA the Keystone of Learning.
I am a fourth grade classroom teacher in the Central Bucks School District and have been fortunate to be a Discovery STAR for more than four years. As LC chair, my responsibilities are to send out a monthly letter to all PA STARS. I hold monthly conference calls with our LC to brainstorm events, plan conferences, both live and virtual, and support one another. Additionally, I blog after Discovery events or if the blog team is unavailable. I view my position of chair as one of encouragement, supporter, participation, and liaison between Discovery and our LC.
Meg Griffin, LC Chair
As PA DEN LC Events Chair I have the privilege of working with the Events Team to bring awesome Professional Development to the teachers of PA. This is where the "N" in "DEN" really comes into play. Networking is such an important part of keeping ahead of the curve in education. As Chair, I help plan and organize events such as in-person trainings during DEN Virtual Conferences, outings to places like Valley Forge and Falling Waters, geocaching trips and the DEN PETE & C Pre-Conference. I really enjoy planning events like this because I am passionate about getting teachers together with their most valuable resource... EACH OTHER!
